PhD in Physics focused on Network science. I studied the robustness of infrastructural networks, and how the topology of social networks affects their capacity to spread diseases, beliefs and rumours. I have been a visiting researcher at CAIDA (Center for Applied Internet Data Analysis) in San Diego. I am also an external scientiffic consultant for King Co. Interested in adding value to the huge amount of data that our society is generating to change our everyday live.
PhD focused on Network Science and human mobility at the University of Barcelona, with a stay at MIT working on urban shared mobility solutions. MsC in computational physics for UPC. I love understanding and modelling complex social / economical phenomena through the traces left by its associated data using also an analytical view for modelling it. I love leading projects and solving real problems with original solutions.
PhD in Law from Universitat Pompeu Fabra (with research stays at Oxford University and European University Institute in Florence) with a normative thesis combining immigration, mobility, and linguistic diversity. I hold a Research MA in Philosophy & Economics from Erasmus University in Rotterdam where I have worked extensively on the philosophy of statistics, causation, and the methodology of economics and science. Confident in half a dozen European languages, I enjoy the communicative part of bringing science to concrete applications while not losing the big picture out of sight.

Albert Diaz-Guilera is a full professor in phytsics at the University of Barcelona. His research is currently focused on general aspects of complexity, particularly in complex networks. Being by education a statistical physicist, his research lines had been broadening to cover aspects in many different fields: biology, economy, social sciences, computer science, linguistics. Author of more than 100 articles in physics and interdisciplinary journals. He has given about one hundred of talks at conferences and research centers. Leader of the research group CLabB (http://clabb.eu), PI of projects from Catalan and Spanish Governments and EU. Coordinator of the Catalan Network for the Study of Complex Systems (complexitat.CAT)
